Have you ever felt like taking a moment to slow down and enjoy a quiet cup of tea?
Today, we’re introducing a small tea room by the sea in Sajima.
Step inside, and time seems to gently slow down.

A Quiet Tea Time by the Sea
Located right in front of the ocean in Sajima.
Soft light pours through large windows, inviting you to relax and gaze out at the sea.
Unlike typical tourist cafés, this place has a calm and grounded atmosphere.
With just the right number of seats, it offers a comfortable sense of space to enjoy your own time.

“Before you know it, you lose track of time here.”

Highlight ①: Carefully Crafted Scones and Cream Tea

The star of this café is undoubtedly the scones.
They have a rustic texture inspired by traditional British style.
The recipe has been carefully crafted by the owner.
Crisp on the outside, soft on the inside.
Paired with clotted cream and raspberry jam, it instantly becomes a truly indulgent moment.
The balance of sweetness and acidity is just right, making it enjoyable until the very last bite.
The sandwiches, though small, are thoughtfully prepared, offering a refined and satisfying tea room experience.

Highlight ②: A Café Where Tea Takes Center Stage

In a world where coffee often dominates, this is a place dedicated to tea.
You can choose from several types of tea leaves, and even the process of deciding is part of the experience.
The Earl Grey we tried had a rich aroma, offering a completely different impression from everyday tea.
One thing we especially loved was the thoughtful service of refilling hot water in the teapot.
It reflects a genuine care to ensure you can enjoy your tea until the very end.

“They even asked if I wanted my milk warmed—such a small touch, but it meant a lot.”
They also served cookies at the end. It was such a heartwarming experience.

Highlight ③: The Owner’s Vision, Brought to Life
The owner moved from Tokyo to Sajima and opened this tea room here.
She wanted to create a place where people could truly enjoy good tea at a relaxed pace.
That idea eventually became this beautiful tea room by the sea.
When we spoke with her, she was warm, friendly, and easy to talk to.
Her personality seems to shape the entire atmosphere of the space.
There’s something powerful about creating the kind of place you yourself want to visit.

The owner was so warm and welcoming. Talking with her was part of the charm!

For Families with Children
Children are welcome here.
Because the atmosphere is calm and relaxed, it’s also a lovely choice for a slow catch-up with mom friends or for a slightly special treat with family.
The shop is not very large, so visiting at a quieter time may be more comfortable.

Dog-Friendly Information
Dogs are allowed on the terrace only.
With the sea so close by, it’s a perfect stop during a walk along the coast.
