This time, I visited “Cantina Zushi,” a seaside Italian restaurant located right in front of Zushi Beach.
This is actually a place I have been visiting since before I moved to Hayama. It is a slightly special Italian restaurant where you can relax over pizza and pasta while looking out at Zushi Beach.
Have you ever thought, “Ocean-view restaurants look beautiful, but maybe they feel a little intimidating to enter…”?
Cantina feels different. The restaurant is spacious, parking is available, and it is easy to visit for lunch. It is a great option for lunch with mom friends, family meals, or a relaxing stop during a Hayama and Zushi sightseeing day.
Highlight 1: Spacious Seaside Italian Dining with a View of Zushi Beach
The best thing about Cantina is, of course, the ocean view right in front of Zushi Beach.
On this visit, we had lunch on the terrace. Eating pizza and pasta while looking at the sea instantly made the day feel like a little holiday.

The restaurant is also spacious, and after its renewal, it seems to have been designed to feel even more connected to the sea. It has the openness of a seaside restaurant, but still feels casual and easy to enjoy.
Highlight 2: Wood-Fired Pizza and a Satisfying Lunch Set
This time, we ordered Lunch Set A.
The set includes a salad and your choice of pasta or pizza, priced at 1,880 yen. Considering the location right in front of Zushi Beach, it felt like a very approachable and satisfying lunch.
For the pizza, we ordered a half-and-half of Margherita and Bianchetti. The exact name “Bianchetti” needs to be confirmed, but it appeared to be a whitebait-style pizza.
We also ordered vongole pasta. There is something about eating seafood pasta near the ocean that just feels right.
According to official information, Cantina uses a wood-fired oven imported from Italy and bakes its Neapolitan pizza at high temperature. Just seeing a real pizza oven inside the restaurant makes the experience feel a little more exciting.
Highlight 3: Spacious and Comfortable for Family Meals and Mom Gatherings
Cantina has a large number of seats, and the entire restaurant feels spacious and relaxed. Several reviews also mentioned that it was easy to visit with a stroller.
When dining out with young children, many parents worry about things like, “Will there be enough space for a stroller?” or “What if the restaurant feels too crowded?”
