Enjoy Ramen Amidst the Snowy Scenery at Hakuba’s Takahashike
While Hayanavi typically showcases lunch spots around Hayama, this time we bring you a holiday special from Hakuba.
I found a ramen shop called “Takahashike” during my trip home, and it was so delicious I had to share! The shop, opened by a former professional snowboarder, is popular with locals, tourists, and even international visitors. This is a spot you don’t want to miss!

1. Attraction 1: Experience Hakuba’s Flavors with Tannrei Soy Sauce Ramen

I ordered the **”Tannrei Soy Sauce Ramen” (940 yen)**. It features a broth carefully simmered from chicken and pork, using Hakuba’s delicious water. With the first sip, I thought, “Wow, this is so gentle!” The subtle soy sauce flavor creates a simple yet profound taste.
My favorite part was the additional topping, seasoned egg (150 yen). Soft-boiled to perfection with just the right saltiness, it pairs incredibly well with the ramen. This is a must-try topping!

You have to order the seasoned egg!

2. Attraction 2: Spicy Delight! The Noodle-less Tantanmen

If you love spicy food, I highly recommend the “Noodle-less Tantanmen” (990 yen). This ramen packs a punch with chili and Sichuan pepper. Mixing in the egg yolk mellows the heat slightly, but it’s still quite spicy. If you’re not great with heat, beware.
“It’s spicy but addicting!” This flavor had me hooked and unable to put my chopsticks down.

It was a bit too much for me, but my friend who loves spice said it was the best!
3. Attraction 3: Must-Try Chewy, Homemade Gyoza!
The homemade gyoza (6 pieces for 900 yen, for two people) was outstanding. The skin is chewy, and the filling is juicy and packed with ingredients. Each piece is large and incredibly satisfying.
I debated ordering another plate but was too full. Next time, I’m definitely getting more!
Baby & Kid Note
The restaurant mainly consists of counter seats, but there are also table seats, making it accessible for families.
However, the restaurant tends to fill up quickly at lunchtime, so arriving right at opening time is recommended. While strollers are allowed, space is limited, so folding them before entry is advisable.
Dog Information
Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed inside. However, terrace seating is available during the summer, where dogs are welcome.
