We spent a soothing lunch time in this wonderful space where cafes, clothing stores, and florists gather amidst the lush greenery of Hayama.
The lunch plate full of seasonal flavors that I ate while surrounded by the pleasant greenery was so delicious that it made me smile ♡ Especially the gratin that was hot until the very end!
『Over Easy』
Location
OVER EASY” is located halfway up a straight road from the Hayama Imperial Villa. It is about a 5-minute walk to the Imperial Palace.
It is surrounded by Isshiki Beach, which is a great place for a stroll.
The parking lot has been expanded in recent years and has a total of 8 free parking spaces. It is quite spacious, so it is a perfect place to come to Hayama for a drive.
Hayama has no station. If you use public transportation, take a bus from JR Zushi Station.
Establishment
The mother company of OVER EASY, SUNSHINE+CLOUD, OVER EASY, opened its Hayama store in 1995, following the Daikanyama store.
When it moved to its current location in 2013, it added a café. In addition to clothing and accessories, they also started selling flowers and books.
It has a long history!

One of the attractions of “Over Easy” is the lush garden where the café is located.
Surrounded by large trees, the space is lined with cafes, fashion boutiques, and flower stores, creating a resort-like atmosphere.
This place where you can relax in the fresh air is a special spot that will soothe your soul just by visiting.
The building looks like it used to be a training and recreation center for Toraya. Is this why there are these magnificent trees?
The magnificent tree is impressive. The tree is as thick and magnificent as a sacred tree, and is overwhelming.
The restaurant also offers a view of the greenery through large windows.
The interior of the restaurant is a stylish space with poured concrete, white walls, wooden pillars and furniture.
There is a flower shop attached to the building, so there were flowers and vases of greenery everywhere. The flowers along with the greenery outside are soothing.
The ceiling is high and modern.
Hot “Mushroom and Scallop Gratin Plate”
The menu looks like this. There was a cafe menu and a lunch menu.
We ordered the mushroom and scallop gratin plate and the coconut chicken curry.
First up was the Mushroom and Scallop Gratin Platter (2,200 yen including tax).
This plate comes with soup, hot scallops and seasonal mushrooms, green salad, deli, focaccia, and a drink.
When you put the dish in your mouth, the delicious flavor of scallops and mushrooms spreads out, and the creamy sauce is perfectly balanced with a pleasant warmth that lasts. Served hot to the end, this menu is perfect for cold winter days.

The soup was sweet and delicious.
Gratin. The key point is that it is hot to the end!
Aromatic “Coconut Chicken Curry”
Next up is the Coconut Chicken Curry (1,800 yen including tax).
This curry comes with a green salad, grilled vegetables, a boiled egg, and a drink. The curry has a deep flavor with the aroma of spices, and the addition of coconut milk gives it a spicy yet mellow taste.
The spices are slowly sauteed to give it a rich aroma, and each bite is an exotic taste sensation.
I ordered for Onshu Mikan Iyokan juice as a set drink. It was refreshing and elegant.
The spoon and fork rests are also stylish. God is in the details. I try my best to be careful on a daily basis.

There is a large space with an attached boutique and florist. Very stylish clothes, affordable T-shirts, etc. are also available.
It has a maritime feel of Hayama, the city of the sea.
The florist also provided colorful flowers. They created a great atmosphere for the store.
