Today, I’m excited to introduce a wonderful flower shop I found at the Blossom Market — “Namae no Nai Hanaya” (The Nameless Flower Shop).
It’s a small shop, but each flower here has a story to tell. This is a heartwarming place run with passion, where even those who don’t know much about flowers will feel welcomed.

[Highlight 1] A Florist with Over 15 Years of Professional Experience

The shop is run by Mr. Shuji Oi, a florist with over 15 years of experience.
Before opening this shop, he worked as the manager at the prestigious “Flower Studio” inside the Yokohama Grand Intercontinental Hotel. With years of expertise under his belt, you can expect top-quality flowers and refined arrangements.
Interestingly, Oi-san didn’t start his career as a florist. He tried his hand at running a vintage clothing store and a bar, but in the end, his love for flowers called him back to this world. And so, he became a full-time florist, working with flowers for over 15 years.

[Highlight 2] A Mobile Flower Shop That Became a Local Favorite

Oi-san started his own business with a unique idea — a mobile flower shop. He wanted to bring flowers to elderly people and residents of remote areas where access to stores is limited.
Having grown up close to his grandmother, he knew how difficult shopping could be for seniors. So, he drove his little flower truck up hills and into small neighborhoods, bringing flowers directly to the people.
In 2023, Oi-san finally opened his own physical store near Zushi Station, but he still actively participates in local events like the Hayama Morning Market and Blossom Market. So, even if you can’t visit the shop directly, there’s always a chance to meet his flowers somewhere in town.
[Highlight 3] A Shop That Stays Open Almost Every Day
Oi-san’s philosophy is simple — “Stay open as much as possible.”
In fact, he told me, “Last year, I only took about 10 days off.” His dedication to his shop and his flowers is truly remarkable.
He believes that if the shop is always open, customers can drop by anytime, whether they need flowers for a special occasion or simply want to brighten their day.
That said, on days when there’s a local market, the shop might be closed — so make sure to check their Instagram for the latest updates.
[Highlight 4] Carefully Selected Flowers from Local Markets

Every flower at Namae no Nai Hanaya is carefully handpicked by Oi-san himself at the Yokohama Nanbu Market. He looks for not only seasonal blooms, but also unique and rare flowers you won’t find at typical flower shops.
Whether you need a bouquet for a celebration or just a single flower to brighten your home, Oi-san will happily recommend the perfect flower for your mood or occasion.

It’s the kind of place where you don’t need a reason to buy flowers — just drop by and see what catches your eye.
[For Families with Babies & Toddlers]
The shop itself is quite small, so bringing in a stroller could be tricky. However, there are flowers displayed outside the shop too, making it easier to browse even with your little one in tow.
The Blossom Market itself is spacious and completely stroller-friendly, so feel free to bring the whole family.
[Dog-Friendly Info]
Good news for dog owners — dogs are welcome too!
It’s the perfect stop after a walk, where you can pick up a fresh bouquet and enjoy some time with your furry friend.
