Did you know there’s a charming little cafe near Hayama’s Shinnase Beach with an eye-catching blue and white facade?
It’s called G.BREEZE cafe HAYAMA.

The cafe was named by Reiko Yamamoto, who relocated to the Miura Peninsula. Her hope? That people would ride a “pleasant breeze” and head out feeling refreshed.

This article will dive deep into G.BREEZE’s unique charm, based on our visit and a personal interview with the owner!

Feature #1: A Santorini-Inspired Facade and a Cozy Wooden Interior

The cafe’s palette is white and blue, complemented by warm wooden accents.
It was inspired by Reiko’s love for Santorini, Greece—she’s never been, but she’s always admired the blue rooftops, white walls, and sparkling seas.

The interior is crafted by hand alongside local carpenters.
The space exudes a nostalgic warmth that lets visitors relax completely in its unpretentious charm.

It was my first time here, but it felt strangely familiar—like I’d been here before.

Feature #2: Local Gourmet Collaboration with Artistic Flair

One of the delights of G.BREEZE is its collaboration with beloved local bakeries and sweet shops.

・Ashibee’s apple pies and nut tarts
・Kujiraya’s malasadas
・OneStick’s artisanal donuts

This concept was born from Reiko’s desire: “I may not make these myself, but I want to share delicious things with everyone.”

Every morning, Reiko picks up fresh milk from Sekiguchi Farm and pastries from Ashibee before opening the shop.

The lineup is modest but ever-changing, keeping regulars and new visitors excited to return.

Kujiraya and OneStick treats are only available on special days, so keep an eye on their Instagram and pre-order if you can!

Attraction ③: Hand-drip Coffee & Farm-Fresh Milk – A Simple Yet Memorable Taste

G.BREEZE serves coffee made with beans from ONIBUS COFFEE in Tokyo, carefully brewed one cup at a time using the hand-drip method.

Their lattes and cappuccinos are made with fresh milk from Sekiguchi Farm in Yokosuka. The latte, in particular, is so delicious that many visitors say it becomes a must-have with every visit.

They also offer a popular homemade lemonade, made from near-organic lemons from Ehime Prefecture and simmered with only honey and brown sugar for the syrup.

In summer, a refreshing “Beet Banana Smoothie” made with pesticide-free beets from Yokosuka is available. Every drink here is simple in appearance but reveals deep consideration for ingredient quality.

Beloved by smoothie fans as well!

Attraction #4: A Place for Tourists and Locals to Gather with Warmth

At G.BREEZE, you’ll find not only tourists but also many loyal local customers.
Especially in the quieter winter months, it’s the locals who help keep the energy alive.

Reiko-san shared, “Thanks to this café, I can meet so many people and exchange ideas. This space creates all kinds of encounters.”

Whether you’re here to chat or simply enjoy a quiet break,
this café gently embraces your mood of the moment.

Baby & Kid-Friendly Notes

The café has a very compact layout, so bringing in strollers can be difficult.
If you’re visiting with a baby, it’s recommended to use a baby carrier or come light on bags.

There’s a large parking lot right in front of the café, making access very convenient!

Dog-Friendly Notes

Dogs are not allowed inside the café, but you can enjoy your time together on the outdoor bench.
If you’re lucky, Reiko-san might even offer your pup a special treat!

It’s a perfect stop for a relaxing break during a seaside stroll.
