This time, let me introduce a must-visit place for craft beer lovers in Hayama: Brewstars Yacht Club Hayama Brewing (aka B.Y.C).
This place isn’t just about drinking—it’s a local hub connecting people and community. The first floor offers takeaway beer, and upstairs is a bright, spacious beer bar. It’s the kind of spot that makes you want to come back again and again!

Highlight #1: Unique Craft Beers You Won’t Find Anywhere Else

B.Y.C offers a lineup of several original, house-brewed craft beers at all times.
My personal go-to is the “Hard to starboard pale ale” (L size 1,200 yen). But you’ll also find uniquely named and flavored brews like “Gybe Crash Hazy” and “Vacances du marin.”
The popular Three-Glass Tasting Set (1,500 yen) is a great intro—it’s a 200ml trio that takes you on a flavor journey through the world of craft beer.

The tasting set is my go-to. Finding a new favorite each time is part of the fun!

Highlight #2: Delicious Dishes Worth Sharing

It’s not just the beer—the food menu is equally satisfying in both taste and size!
Favorites include the crispy “Kari Kari Potato” (715 yen) and the savory “Chili con Carne Nacho Chips” (935 yen). Other options range from sauerkraut to Japanese-style pasta, offering something for every palate.
Whether you’re just nibbling or diving into a full meal, there’s something here for everyone.

I can’t believe we have such a high-quality beer bar right here in Hayama!

Feature 3: A Launchpad for Culinary Dreams—The “Challenge Kitchen”
On the second floor of Brewstars Yacht Club Hayama Brewing lies a unique space called the “Challenge Kitchen.”
This area is available for aspiring chefs and entrepreneurs to test their menus, host events, and gain real-life experience in a professional setting.

If you’ve ever dreamed of opening your own restaurant, this might just be the perfect place to start!
This initiative is driven by the vision of owner Mr. Kikuchi, who wants to empower creators and foster the next generation of culinary talent.
More than just brewing great beer, this space is about nurturing people and dreams, adding a warm human touch to every pint served.

Baby & Kid-Friendly Note
• The second-floor venue requires climbing stairs, so caution is advised.
• While there is no dedicated kids menu, most light meals are suitable for sharing.
