Hayama Asahiya Beef shop is located behind Morido Beach in Hayama. It is located across the river from the parking lot of the famous Hayama supermarket 😆 Motomachi Union.

Cars can easily access the store as there are four parking lots in the storefront. Even if the lot is full, you can use the Motomachi Union parking lot and shopping at the butcher shop and the supermarket.

The store is compact, but there is enough space for all the employees to work and for the store to be about half the size of the other half, and together they are large enough.
The work area is like an open kitchen and can be seen from the sales floor. It is fun just to watch the lively voices of the employees and the way they work.

The signature item here is the Hayama croquette! These croquettes are made from carefully selected Japanese beef and pork.
And the price is 100 yen including tax! In the past, canned juice was 100 yen. There are not many things you can buy for 100 yen now. They are precious.
Menchikatsu are also very popular. They are plump and juicy.
You can make an instant burger by putting the Hayama croquette and the menchikatsu in the fluffy buns sold at the store.
You will often see people eating their burgers in the outside space. It is the best burger at a very reasonable price!
Sliced grilled pork is also popular! According to the shop’s website, the secret to the flavor is the traditional method of seasoning and kneading the fresh pork, which is processed in the restaurant, and then slowly grilling it from raw using Kishu-binchotan charcoal.
I made my own grilled pork this time, and I had Hayama croquettes and menchikatsu! Both were very tasty!

Hayama beef is expensive, isn’t it? As a commoner, I can only afford Hayama beef on important anniversaries. But it is still delicious. It is totally different from other meats.
I especially love eating Hayama beef in sukiyaki!

And to make roast pork, I bought a pork shoulder. You can’t get such a large piece of meat in supermarkets. It is indeed a butcher shop.
