Enjoy Island Vibes with Gourmet Burgers and Sweets at Ali’i Drive
This time, let us introduce Ali’i Drive, a Hawaiian café right in front of Morito Shrine.
With its tropical interior and delicious food, it’s a perfect stop for both tourists and locals.

Even on a weekday afternoon past the lunch rush, the café was almost fully packed.
Let’s explore its charm for families, dog owners, tourists, and even restaurant owners!

Highlight 1: Shrimp & Avocado Burger That Even Meat Lovers Will Love

I originally came for a meat burger, but it was sold out in the lunch set.
So I reluctantly chose the shrimp & avocado burger… and it turned out to be amazing!
Chunks of juicy garlic shrimp pair beautifully with creamy avocado. Who knew you could feel this satisfied without meat?
Comes with a drink as a weekday lunch set for 1,780 yen (tax included). Great value!

I thought shrimp burgers were a compromise—but I’d happily come back for this one!

Highlight 2: The Fluffy Hawaiian Donut—Malasada

Malasadas are the signature Hawaiian treat. At Ali’i Drive, their cinnamon sugar malasada (300 yen) hits the spot!
Though it wasn’t fresh out of the fryer that day, it was fluffy and delicately sweet—just what I needed.
Plenty of customers stopped by to take these goodies to go with a drink.

Today, we’re introducing Ali’i Drive, a Hawaiian cafe located right in front of Morito Shrine.
With its tropical ambiance and satisfying menu, it’s a great spot for both tourists and local lunch-goers.

Even on a weekday afternoon, the place was nearly full of customers.
Let me walk you through its charm from the perspective of moms, dog lovers, tourists, and cafe owners alike!

Highlight 1: Juicy Shrimp Avocado Burger

I originally wanted a meat burger, but it was sold out in the lunch set that day.
Half-doubtfully, I chose the Shrimp Avocado Burger—and it turned out to be amazing!
Loaded with plump garlic shrimp and creamy avocado, this combo was surprisingly satisfying even without meat.
It comes with a drink and costs 1,780 yen (tax included)—a great deal for a weekday lunch.

I thought shrimp burgers were just a compromise—but this one made me want to come back again!

Highlight 2: Fluffy Hawaiian Malasadas

When it comes to Hawaiian sweets, malasadas top the list. The Cinnamon Sugar Malasada (300 yen) at Ali’i Drive did not disappoint!
Though it wasn’t fresh out of the fryer, it was light, fluffy, and just sweet enough to make my afternoon.
Plenty of people were grabbing them to-go with a drink—no wonder they’re so popular.
Highlight 3: Featured on National TV by Tsurube & Issei Takahashi
This cozy cafe gained fame after being featured on NHK’s popular show “Tsurube no Kazoku ni Kanpai”.
Renowned actor Issei Takahashi visited the cafe and enjoyed its signature burger, sparking a wave of interest.
On the show, he was seen taking a big bite of their famous Hayama Beef Burger—a house specialty using 100% premium Hayama beef seasoned only with salt and pepper.
When you try it, you’ll know exactly why they chose this place!
Feature ④: Relax in a Full Hawaiian Atmosphere
The interior is accented with a stunning gradient of aqua and sea blue, reminiscent of the Hawaiian ocean.
With cozy spaces like sofa seats and high chairs, the café is small yet relaxing. Decorated with surfboard-shaped clocks and tropical goods, you’ll feel like you’re on a mini vacation.

The moment I stepped in, I felt wrapped in a gentle ocean breeze!

Feature ⑤: Baby and Child-Friendly Note
Although compact, the café has sofa seats available, making it suitable for visitors with babies.
Please check in advance regarding stroller access.
The café has two rooms and feels more spacious than it looks.

Feature ⑥: For Dog Owners
Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed inside and there doesn’t seem to be a terrace (※not confirmed).
While it’s a great stop during a seaside stroll, takeout might be the most practical option for dog owners.
