Workers earn compensation in the form of “wages for production activities” (kouchin) and engage in tasks suited to their individual abilities.
In a local FM radio interview, STYLE’s representative Seiichi Takano explained:
“We don’t see disability—we see individual needs. Some come five days a week, others just for a few hours. Everyone’s rhythm matters.”
As of the radio interview in 2023, about 11 people with various disabilities were working at STYLE, doing everything from pie-making to accessory crafting, packaging, or flyer distribution. The environment encourages everyone to shine in their own way.
